Esta semana mostraré algunas fotos del centro de Bilbao. A finales del siglo XIX y comienzos del XX, la ciudad tuvo la necesidad de expandirse por lo que desarrollo el proyecto conocido como el Ensanche. La normativa urbanística del área es muy restrictiva y prevé repetir el perfil de los medianiles, retranquear los áticos según una directriz curva, achaflanar la esquina y construir un torreón sobre el chaflán. En las primeras dos imagenes de esta semana mostraré un edificio de la primera mitad del siglo XX junto a otro realizado hace algunos años.

This week I´ll show photos of the city centre of Bilbao. At the end of the 19º century and the begining of the 20º the city had the necessity to grow the city council developed the project named "el Ensanche". The Urban rule of this area its very restrictive, in the corner´s building the desing have to be by a chamfer and, on it, you have to build a tower. The beginning photos of this blog I´m going to show a building of the first half of XX century and building built few years ago.
