Huascar
Monitor Huascar de la Armada de Chile, construido por astilleros ingleses en 1864 para la Armada del Perú, es el segundo buque acorazado a flote mas antiguo del mundo, un 21 de mayo de 1879 libró el Combate de Iquique, en éste combate murió en su cubierta, en acto de servicio, en héroe naval chileno y Capitán de la Corbeta Esmeralda, don Arturo Prat Chacón.
El 8 de octubre de 1879 en el combate naval de Angamos murió el héroe naval peruano, Contraalmirante Miguel Grau Seminario, y el monitor Huascar paso a manos de la Armada de Chile.
